Dog Training

Welcome to The Pawsitive K-9

We are dedicated to making your dog the best he can be. We are a member of the APDT Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

We work with the owner to develop a plan to reach the client's goals.

Our training is based on a positive relationship built on trust and respect. We have found walking and training both the dog and owner on how to walk is often the best approach to solving many canine problems.

We also do home training with the owner to solve problems a dog owner may experience. This includes but not limited to improper greeting of guests, charging the door and basic commands.

What can daily training do?

  • Save your dogs life (not charging the door, improper greeting which could lead to biting and loss of the dog, coming when called)
  • Give the dog exercise and mental challenges this often helps with hyper activity
  • Prevent accidents in the home. Training can help keep the puddles from happing
  • develop a human dog relationship that builds trust. This is often the highlight as the bond between owner and dog is often closer than ever.
  • prevent separation anxiety

Our normal visits last 60 minutes and consist of walking and training. Training is done at your Home or County Animal Hospital.

The fee per session is $80 1/2 hour minimum billed by the 1/4 hour. Rates may be higher outside the Southwest St.Louis county area.
